Transcriptional and physiological data revealed cold tolerance in a photo-thermo sensitive genic male sterile line Yu17S

A novel PTGMS line, Yu17S (spp. indica), which possesses high tolerance to cold stress. Yu17S was crossed with different indica type restorer lines Huazhan, Minghui63, and all F1 hybrids corresponds to cold tolerance, moderate plant type, good eating quality, has a high yield potential, and is resistant to rice blast and white leaf blight. Thus, it may be an invaluable genetic resource for improving cold tolerance in cultivated rice. In order to gain novel transcripts into cold stress response in rice, this current paper was to identify a global cold responsive gene expression profiling of the Yu17S.
