Skin Microbiota of Chinese giant salamander

Chinese giant salamander iridovirus, also known as Andrias davidianus ranavirus (ADRV), which is highly lethal to Chinese giant salamanders (Andrias davidianus). It's not clear what the role of skin bacterial community of Chinese giant salamander plays in the process of ADRV infection until now. Therefore, in this study, we adopted the ADRV-infected Chinese giant salamanders as experimental group and the healthy salamanders as control group to investigate the variations of ADRV infection on the skin bacterial community of Chinese giant salamanders, which mainly included the bacterial community structure, amplicon sequence variants (ASVs), alpha and beta diversity, and functional predictions.
