With the global promotion of nuclear technology applications in the medical field, ensuring radiation protection in radiological diagnosis and treatment has become increasingly critical. Medicine boasts a long history and a variety ethical culture, and the radiation protection system has also developed a relatively complete set of ethical values since its establishment. As the practice of radiation protection in radiological diagnosis and treatment continues to expand, the ethical issues concerning of radiation protection in this field have attracted widespread attention.Objective To deepen the understanding of ethical issues in radiation protection during radiological diagnosis and treatment and to enhance the competence of radiation protection in this field.Methods By introducing the ethical foundations of the radiation protection system and combining them with the characteristics of radiological diagnosis and treatment, the ethical perspectives on radiation protection in radiological diagnosis and treatment were discussed. Several typical cases were used to deepen the understanding of these ethical issues.Results Based on the existing ethical issues in radiation protection during radiological diagnosis and treatment, three countermeasures were proposed: strengthening education and training in radiation protection, improving radiation protection measures, and optimizing the management of radiological diagnosis and treatment practices.Conclusion Emphasizing the ethical issues of radiation protection in radiological diagnosis and treatment and actively improving the current situation will provide strong support for enhancing the competence of radiation protection in radiological diagnosis and treatment, as well as safeguarding the health rights and interests of both medical staff and patients.
