Bibliography for Johannes Amos Comenius's political thought
收藏资源简介:
This project focuses on Jan Amos Comenius (1592–1670), bishop of the Unity of the Brethren, from the perspective of his insufficiently explored political thought, thereby significantly expanding the subject matter of early modern intellectual history. This research perspective contrasts with the dominant image of Comenius as a religious reformer and educator. Using neglected sources and interdisciplinary methods, the project will emphasize the political relevance of Comenius’s philosophy, theology, and scholarly efforts, which will be examined in the holistic context of his ambitious global peace project. This dataset compiles bibliographic information on primary and secondary literature relating to the writings of Johannes Amos Comenius (d.1670), with a particular focus on works relevant to his political thought, its influences, and its historical context. It was generated by manual bibliographic data entry into the software program Zotero, and by automatic download of bibliographic data from relevant library or bibliographic websites (i.e. Worldcat) through the Zotero internet browser plugin. The dataset's purpose is to give a representative picture of the available works on the topic. This dataset is a project bibliography in a .csv file and an additional RIS file, that can be imported to Zotero (https://www.zotero.org/) for easier use. Readme file with metadata and instructions is available.
