资源简介:
This dataset was generated as part of a research project aiming to investigate the association between fenugreek consumption and breastfeeding duration among mothers in Saudi Arabia.
The Excel file includes responses from 332 participants, covering:
1- Sociodemographic characteristics
2- Mother's health and last child experience
3- Fenugreek use (frequency, duration, timing, etc.)
4- Duration of breastfeeding
The research hypothesis was that fenugreek consumption would be associated with longer breastfeeding duration. However, notable findings show that the correlation between fenugreek use and breastfeeding duration was not statistically significant.
Data collection was conducted using a structured questionnaire through face-to-face interviews with mothers present in the waiting areas of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Family Medicine, Primary Care, and Pediatric clinics at King Khalid University Hospital (KKUH).
This dataset can be used by other researchers to explore herbal supplement use during lactation, and to evaluate potential factors influencing breastfeeding duration. It may also support comparative studies or meta-analyses related to maternal practices in Middle Eastern populations.
