Gamified Assessment Dataset in Railway Engineering through Kahoot

This dataset contains the results of several Kahoot quizzes conducted in the Railway Engineering course at the University of Cantabria. The quizzes were designed to assess students’ understanding of key topics related to track geometry, railway mechanics, maintenance, and operational safety.

Each sheet in the dataset corresponds to a different thematic block of the course. The data include the number of participants, individual and average scores, question-level accuracy, and time-related performance indicators. These variables allow for comparative analysis of learning outcomes, engagement, and topic-specific difficulty.

The dataset supports research on active learning methodologies, gamification in engineering education, and evaluation of student performance through digital tools. It can be reused for educational analytics, assessment design, or replication of similar studies in other technical courses.
