We studied the effects of polyamine pathway inhibitors on differentiation of nonpathogenic Th17 cellsin vitro. Here, we used difluoromethylornithine (DFMO), an irreversible inhibitor of ODC1, the enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of ornithine to putrescine. Overall design: Non-pathogenic Th17 cells (Th17n), and induced T regulatory cells (iTreg) were differentiated in vitro from naïve cells isolated from WT mice. Cells were harvested at 68 hours and were performed in the presence or absence of 100µM DFMO (Sigma)
