Data on plant percent cover, soil moisture and air temperature for a field experiment to understand the role of plant-plant interactions and climate change on changes in plant community composition in NZ alpine ecosystems. The study design combined experimental warming and dominant plant removal at two elevations in alpine tussock grasslands in the North Island in New Zealand. Data was recorded during peak growing season and for seven years of experiment, from 2015 until 2021.
