Measuring students' perception of the ethical climate in their intended fields of study

The data set is based on the ethical climate index tool developed by Arnaud (2010). It is used to measure the perception of business and engineering students in a private university regarding the ethical climate in their fields. All items are measured on a scale of one (strongly disagree) to five (strongly agree).
Confirmatory factor analysis was used to demonstrate the reliability and the goodness-of-fit of the ethical climate index. Between-group analysis reveals that while no differences exist between business and engineering students on five of the dimension, engineering students have a significantly higher mean on the dimension Collective moral judgment – focus on others. The implications of this finding are discussed along with directions for future research.
