资源简介:
The formation of the Peruvian Coastal Batholith (PCB) in the Central Peruvian Margin (7–15°S) is closely related to volcanic activity. This study integrates geochronological data and geospatial analysis to examine the temporal and spatial development of magmatic events within this region, focusing on the relationship between volcanic and plutonic events. Geochronological data, including new U-Pb zircon ages, show that the PCB formed concurrently with volcanic activity in the West Peruvian Trough during episodic flare-ups beginning in the Lower Cretaceous (136 Ma) and continuing through the Miocene. Geospatial analysis indicates that plutonic and volcanic centres followed the same arc migration pattern, supporting a model of integrated volcanic–plutonic arc development and arc migration (~1 km/Ma) through subduction erosion and the gradual shallowing of the slab.
