资源简介:
A pair of naïvely carved soul-effigies on a stone which has been built into the external face at the western end of the south wall of St. Conlan's medieval church ruins at Youghalvillage (Sráidbhaile Eochaille), Co. Tipperary, in the parish of Youghalarra (Eochaill), barony of Owney and Arra, diocese of Killaloe. This folk art carving of a winged face with flared torso is a representation of the soul of the deceased person ascending to heaven after death.
