The impact of different plant harvesting frequencies on microbial changes in Myriophyllum aquaticum wetlands

To investigate the impact of different harvesting frequencies on microbial changes in Myriophyllum aquaticum wetlands, three harvesting frequencies were set up: high harvesting frequency (45 day/ times), low harvesting frequency (LF: 90 day/ times) , and control (CK: no harvesting). Each wetland consisted of three consecutive units, referred to as CW1, CW2, and CW3, along the direction of water flow. The inlet water to the wetlands was low-concentration swine wastewater, and the hydraulic retention time for each wetland unit was 5 days. The surface sediment (0-5 cm) of the wetlands was used for microbial analysis. The meanings of the sample names used for microbial determination are as follows:(1) T1, T2, and T3 represent the CW1, CW2, and CW3 of M. aquaticum wetlands treated with high harvesting frequency in autumn, respectively.T4, T5, and T6 represent the CW1, CW2, and CW3 of M. aquaticum wetlands treated with low harvesting frequency in autumn, respectively.T7, T8, and T9 represent the CW1, CW2, and CW3 of M. aquaticum wetlands under control conditions in autumn, respectively.(2) T10, T11, and T12 represent the CW1, CW2, and CW3 of M. aquaticum wetlands treated with high harvesting frequency in winter, respectively.T13, T14, and T15 represent the CW1, CW2, and CW3 of M. aquaticum wetlands treated with low harvesting frequency in winter, respectively.T16, T17, and T18 represent the CW1, CW2, and CW3 of M. aquaticum wetlands under control conditions in winter, respectively.(3) T19, T20, and T21 represent the CW1, CW2, and CW3 of M. aquaticum wetlands treated with high harvesting frequency in spring, respectively.T22, T23, and T24 represent the CW1, CW2, and CW3 of M. aquaticum wetlands treated with low harvesting frequency in spring, respectively.T25, T26, and T27 represent the CW1, CW2, and CW3 of M. aquaticum wetlands under control conditions in spring, respectively.(4) T28, T29, and T30 represent the CW1, CW2, and CW3 of M. aquaticum wetlands treated with high harvesting frequency in summer, respectively.T31, T32, and T33 represent the CW1, CW2, and CW3 of M. aquaticum wetlands treated with low harvesting frequency in summer, respectively.T34, T35, and T36 represent the CW1, CW2, and CW3 of M. aquaticum wetlands under control conditions in summer, respectively.
