Dataset supporting "Drought-induced C3–CAM plasticity reveals contrasting CAM-cycling and CAM-idling strategies in leafy cacti"

This dataset contains the data supporting the figures presented in the manuscript “Drought-induced C3–CAM plasticity reveals contrasting CAM-cycling and CAM-idling strategies in leafy cacti”. The study investigated drought-induced C3–CAM plasticity in four leafy cactus species: Pereskia aculeata, Pereskia bahiensis, Leuenbergeria aureiflora, and Leuenbergeria portulacifolia. Plants were evaluated under well-watered (Control), drought-stressed (Drought), and rewatered (Rewatered) conditions. The Excel workbook is organised into six worksheets (Fig. 1–Fig. 5), corresponding to the main figures of the manuscript. Each worksheet contains the data used to generate the respective figure, including individual biological replicate values where applicable, together with the corresponding summary data used for graphical representation and statistical analysis.
