1. Data Collection and Processing: Collect the usage status of various functions of DingTalk software by enterprise organizations, and conduct anonymization processing.
2. Algorithm Processing: The DingTalk Index is calculated by summing the basic score, organizational online score, organizational collaboration score, organizational efficiency score, business online score and AI innovation score. The basic score is calculated based on the number of activated users and the usage activity of members on basic DingTalk functions. The remaining scores are obtained by summing the scores of specific indicators. The full score of each specific indicator is based on the 80th percentile value of organizations in the same industry and of the same scale. If an organization's specific indicator exceeds the 80th percentile value, it will get the full score; otherwise, the score is calculated based on the proportion to the 80th percentile value. The distribution of specific indicators and the full score of each indicator are dynamically adjusted by DingTalk based on the digitalization level of global enterprise organizations.
- Organizational online score: Measured by data reflecting member activity, such as the number of active users and the number of clock-in users;
- Organizational collaboration score: Measured by the usage volume of instant messaging, documents, schedules and other tools;
- Organizational efficiency score: Measured by indicators such as average to-do completion time and log read rate;
- Business online score: Measured by indicators reflecting the level of business online management, such as DingTalk connection flows, low-code applications, and the usage volume of upstream and downstream organizations;
- AI innovation score: Measured by the usage volume of AI tools on DingTalk by members.

The higher the score, the higher the digitalization level of the organization and its business. Organizations with scores ranging from 0 to 299 are categorized as novice organizations. Those with scores from 300 to 599 are trial organizations. Those with scores from 600 to 1000 are in-depth usage organizations.
