资源简介:
Three macrofloral samples were collected from the fill of two basin-shaped pits and a large thermal feature during Phase I investigations at the Flower Hill Site in Schenectady County, New York. Archaeological investigations were undertaken due to proposed subdivision construction in the town of Niskayuna. Recovery of one Lamoka-type projectile point suggests that the site represents a Late Archaic Lamoka Phase occupation of the area. Additional samples from these three features, as well as from other units and trenches at the site, were examined for macrofloral remains during Phase III investigations. Macrofloral analysis is used to provide subsistence information concerning plant resources utilized by the site occupants.
