Lunar analogue friction experiments

Data obtained from friction experiments on anorthosite-bearing gouges (.mat files), X-Ray Powder Diffraction (XRPD) analysis of the gouges (.asc files), Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FESEM) (.tif and .hdr files). INGV_report.docx file is a report of the friction experiment. conducted at the Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia in Rome, Italy (March 2019). The report includes sample preparation and data processing details. The Python script (.py file) is an example of the script used to read Matlab files in Python and to plot 'coefficient of friction vs. slip'. The data are used in a manuscript submitted to JGR-Planets.
