"Dependency Debt: Observational Dataset Supporting 'Dependency Debt: The Hidden Coordination Problem in Large-Scale Systems'"

"This dataset supports the observational evaluation presented in the companion manuscript submitted to IEEE Software. It contains: (1) the observation instrument used to define and collect metrics across four deployment cohorts (Cycles A\u2013D), (2) anonymized cohort-level metric tables for five outcome measures (pre-deployment discovery rate, named ownership rate, mean blocker resolution time, inventory accuracy, and missing dependency attribution rate), (3) gap type classification data with inter-rater reliability assessment (Cohen's \u03ba = 0.87), (4) the dependency inventory schema used in Stage 2 of the framework, (5) five anonymized sample dependency records illustrating the schema in practice, and (6) a replication guide for applying the framework in other organizational contexts.Data was collected longitudinally across large-scale cloud infrastructure deployment programs coordinated across 40\u201380 independent engineering teams per cycle. All team names, service names, and organizational identifiers have been removed. Resolution time is reported in calendar days; other metrics are reported as proportions. The dataset is intended to support replication and comparison by other practitioners and researchers working on cross-team dependency management in distributed systems."
