Sulfisoxazole, a FDA-approved drug, is a promising repositioned drug candidate for the treatement of various cancers. Therefore we analyzed the gene expression by microarray to identified the up-regulated and down-regulated genes after SFX treatment in breast cancer cell-derived exosomes. Recently, breast cancer has a higher incidence in the world. In addition, breast cancer cell derived exosomes promote cancer progression. Therefore, we selected MDA-MB231 (breast cancer) and analyzed the exosomal miRNA expression by microarray. Cells were treated with 100 μM of SFX for 24 hours under serum-free condition. Then, total RNA was collected using Total exosome RNA and protein isolation kit, and performed Affymetrix microarray.
