The Amphibian and Reptile Fauna of Sichuan Province is based on the 'Color Atlas of Sichuan Amphibians' and 'Color Atlas of Sichuan Reptiles', and refers to the classification systems of 'Color Atlas of Chinese Amphibians' (2012) and 'Classification of Chinese Squamata' (2015). It verifies and defines the species and distribution of amphibians and reptiles in Sichuan Province. Statistics show that there are currently 112 species of amphibians distributed in Sichuan Province, belonging to 2 orders, 13 families, 40 genera, including 81 endemic species and 5 introduced species; there are 110 species of reptiles, distributed among 2 orders, 15 families, 51 genera, including 42 endemic species and 4 introduced species. The release of this dataset can facilitate better understanding of the species and distribution changes of amphibians and reptiles in Sichuan Province, and provide a basis for the conservation of amphibian and reptile resources in the province.
