资源简介:

Project Description: The Digital Dhammapada This dataset contains a computationally enriched, comparative edition of the *Dhammapada*, a foundational text of the Buddhist Khuddaka Nikaya. The data was produced using a specialized "Conceptual Anchoring" framework designed to bridge the gap between Early Buddhist Pali source material and the technical philosophical lexicon of Ancient Stoicism. The dataset is provided in a cleaned, machine-readable JSON format, specifically structured for thematic lexical analysis, cross-tradition semantic mapping, or the development of comparative philosophical readers. Methodology The data was generated through a multi-stage computational pipeline: Source Acquisition: The primary Pali text was harvested from the authoritative **SuttaCentral Bilara-data** repository (`pli/ms/sutta/kn/dhp`). Raw segments were reassembled into 423 discrete verses to maintain the integrity of the original canonical structure.Conceptual Anchoring & Translation: English translations were generated using the **Gemma-3-4B** reasoning model. To prevent semantic drift, the model was anchored to a strict philological persona with specific lexical constraints (e.g., mapping *Mano* to 'Mind' and *Dhamma* to 'mental states').Stoic Annotation: Each verse was processed through the **Gemma-3-12B** model to produce a "Stoic Commentary". This layer interprets Buddhist psychology through a reference palette of 19 Stoic technical terms (e.g., *hegemonikon*, *proairesis*, *phantasia*), identifying points of logical symmetry between the two traditions.Refinement & Pruning: A final post-processing pass was employed to "prune" the technical density of the commentary. This ensured that the comparative insights remained natural and readable, following the stylistic brevity of Marcus Aurelius while removing AI-generated markdown artifacts. Contents `dhp_with_stoic_commentary.json`: The complete *Dhammapada* (423 verses) featuring the original Pali text, an anchored English translation, and a comparative Stoic commentary utilizing standardized Greek transliterations. Use Cases Cross-Cultural Philosophy: Quantitative research into the intersection of Stoic *apatheia* and Buddhist *nirvana* through shared semantic structures.Digital Humanities: Thematic analysis of how technical Greek philosophical terms can be used to model and categorize non-Western psychological frameworks.Comparative Pedagogy: Development of interactive educational tools that allow students to explore the "Symmetry of Wisdom" across distinct historical and linguistic contexts.
