This series comprises meeting minutes of the Medical Appointments Advisory Board of the Essendon and District Memorial Hospital (VA 1247). The Medical Appointments Advisory Board included representatives from the Committee of Management, medical staff, the University of Melbourne, and also relevant medical Colleges. It was tasked with advertising for, considering, and making appointments to the medical staff. Their responsibility was to ensure the appointment of legally qualified, suitably experienced medical practitioners to the hospital.
