Zantedeschia genome

Zantedeschia，native to the swampy, woodland edge or mountainous regions of south Africa，is a diploid (2n = 32) herbaceous perennial bulb flower and belongs to the genus Zantedeschia in the family Araceae. Zantedeschia, particularly the colored Zantedeschia is favored by many consumers around the world due to its elegant posture (showy flower, unique floral pattern, beautiful blade) and long postharvest life, which are widely used in cut flower, pot production, flower baskets, garden use and landscaping. Here, we present a chromosome-level genome assembly of Zantedeschia.aetuiopica by incorporating Nanopore and Hi-C technologies.
