Effects of microencapsulated antimicrobial peptides on the growth, immunity, infection resistance, gut microbiota, and gene transcriptome in Manila clam (Ruditapes philippinarum) larve

This dataset contains 16S rRNA gene sequences representing the whole-body microbiota of Manila clam (Ruditapes philippinarum) larvae. Larvae in the treatment group were fed microencapsulated antimicrobial peptides (AMPs, 0.1 mg/g), while control larvae received unsupplemented feed. Each group comprised six biological replicates, with ~200 mg pooled larval tissue per sample. Amplicon libraries were sequenced on an Illumina NovaSeq 6000 platform (paired-end). After quality filtering and denoising, 675,416 high-quality tags were retained, yielding 31,854 amplicon sequence variants (ASVs). Per-sample ASV counts ranged from 1,444 to 3,951, and the merged read lengths were 205-436 bp.
