Anaerobic digestion of propionate in lab-scale reactors: community structure and function

This project investigates microbial communities and functions in lab-scale anaerobic digestion reactors fed with propionate as the primary substrate under mesophilic conditions. We profile community dynamics, operating parameters, and performance to understand propionate degradation and methanogenesis in engineered anaerobic systems.
