The expression of miRNAs is influenced by the infection of Helicobacter Pylori

Macrophages are important cells involved in infections responses. They are mediators of gastritis in acute Helicobacter pylori (Hp) Infection and to identify how Hp affects macrophages response to infection we measured miRNA expression after macrophages Hp infection. 16 samples were profiled to identify miRNAs expression. Experiments were performed on macrophages monocytes derived using M-CSF for 6 days. Experiments with macrophages infected with Hp for 24h were replicated 3 times as well as experiments with 72h of Hp infection. As controls were used macrophages not infected and cultivated for the same time of those infected. Hp volume was substituted by PBS. It was performed 3 replicates for PBS controls at 24h and two for those at 72h. Moreover, monocyte-derived macrophages cultured for 1 d in culture medium without M-CSF were profiled in 5 replicates.
