"A total of 1203 genotypes from 38 segregant families (CWR_LB), obtained through crosses between potato wild relatives and 2x-hybrids with self-compatibility attributes, were assessed to investigate reproductive traits. The evaluation encompassed parameters such as flowering degree, peak flowering, pollen viability, and pollen 2n production. Concurrently, a crossing plan for the self-compatibility assay was implemented, involving two repetitions for each genotype. All crossing assay genotypes were collected and genotyped for Sli gene presence through the KASP platform to explore the correlation between phenotype and genotype. Ultimately, 336 genotypes exhibited phenotypic self-compatibility, yielding between 2 and 4000 true potato seeds (TPS). This output corresponds to the first self-generation cycle (S1)."
