Global Analysis of Environmental Attributes of Ecosystems
收藏资源简介:
This dataset was developed for a global-scale analysis of the relationship between abiotic factors and native vegetation types. It includes 5.500 georeferenced sampling points distributed equally across 11 vegetation classes, based on the ESA Land Cover Climate Change Initiative and other global land cover datasets. For each point, values of 431 abiotic variables were extracted, including climatic (e.g., temperature, precipitation, humidity), edaphic (e.g., soil texture, bulk density, cation exchange capacity), and topographic (e.g., elevation, slope) attributes. All variables were sourced from freely available, peer-reviewed global datasets such as CHELSA, ERA5, CRU TS, SoilGrids, and the Copernicus DEM. This dataset supports studies in vegetation classification, spatial ecology, environmental modeling, and climate change impact assessment. It can also be used for educational and methodological purposes involving multivariate statistics, machine learning, and ecological modeling.
