This statistic shows the outcome of a survey on the main reasons to buy second-hand products in the Netherlands in 2017. When the Dutch respondents were asked why they buy second-hand products, approximately 40 percent indicated that they do so because it is better for the environment. A majority of the respondents, roughly 70 percent, indicated that they buy second-hand to save money.
