New approaches to control Campylobacter jejuni biofilms in the food industry are under intense investigation. Natural products are promising alternative antimicrobial agents to control biofilm production, with particular focus on plant extracts. Next-generation sequencing was used to investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying the action of various compounds against C. jejuni adhesion and motility.
