NGC 4190-ULX1: The nearest unstudied ultraluminous X-ray source

Although it ranks amongst the nearest (at d virgul 3 Mpc) and brightest (flux virgul 4e12erg/cm^2/s) ULXs, NGC 4190ULX1 has not yet been studied in the modern era ofXray astronomy. Here we propose two 25ks XMMNewton observations to provide afirst detailed view of it.s Xray properties.
