资源简介:
This dataset includes the underway data collected aboard the R/V F.G. Walton Smith cruise WS17121 in the Gulf of Mexico from 2017-04-30 to 2017-05-09. Underway and CTD data were collected for 9 days in the northeastern Gulf of Mexico while deploying EM-APEX floats that were instrumented to measure physical and biogeochemical parameters. The expedition started in Gulfport, MS, spent 9 days moving along two parallel deployment lines (including a weather delay), before heading to port in Miami, FL. The Walton Smith underway system includes a Sea-Bird Electronics MicroThermoSalinoGraph (SBE 45 MicroTSG) and Sea-Bird Electronics Digital Oceanographic Thermometer (SBE 38) that measures temperature, conductivity and salinity; a Seapoint chlorophyll-a fluorometer (SCF) and Dissolved Organic Matter fluorometer (SUVF); and a Turner Designs C6 multi-sensor platform that measures chlorophyll, colored dissolved organic matter (CDOM), phycoerythrin, phycocyanin, and turbidity. This dataset includes the POSMV navigation files. CTD, meteorological and ship navigation data collected during this cruise are available under GRIIDC UDIs R5.x275.000:0004, R5.x275.000:0006, and R5.x275.000:0008. These data are part of the Rolling Deck to Repository Program (DOI:10.7284/907283).
