Kentucky Geological Survey 1:24000 Coal Beds

A compiled set of COAL BED features for the state of Kentucky as digitized by the Geospatial Analysis Section, Digital Mapping Team. Data set is derived from the 7.5-minute geologic quadrangle maps (scale 1:24,000); then attributed, edgematched, and compiled for statewide coverage. The data are produced and distributed by the Kentucky Geological Survey. Attributes identify the coal bed name, original map symbol, exposure confidence, and indications of surface mine activity at the time of mapping. Download: Open Data Portal
