Gene expression profiling of colon biopsies from ulcerative colitis patients and healthy volunteers

Genome-wide transcriptional profiling of colonic biopsies endoscopically acquired from the rectosigmoid area of healthy donors and UC patients. Overall design: Biopsies were sampled from 6 healthy donors who lacked completely mucosal inflammation both histologically and endoscopically and from 16 UC patients with evidence of active disease.
