Argulus is a crustacean ectoparasite causing huge economic loss in carp farming. There is no current permanent solution available to control this parasite in farming system. The parasite is slowly developing resistance to multiple parasiticides. In the current context and in the absence of whole genome information it or related species, the generation long read transcriptome data would be of great help in developing immunoprophylaxsis against this parasite.
