SONATA

SONATA is a social navigation dataset generation tool developed by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati and other institutions. It aims to efficiently and cost-effectively collect social navigation data through simulated environments, with a particular focus on the complexity of human-robot interaction. SONATA supports the generation of datasets containing both geometric and semantic information, which are applicable for training and evaluating social navigation algorithms. The application fields of this dataset include improving the interaction quality between service robots and humans, especially in scenarios such as avoiding personal space violations and disrupting human activities.
