A total of 26 samples from soil pits on a stream terrace adjacent to the South Fork and
North Fork of the Boise River in south-central Idaho were examined to recover organic
fragments suitable for radiocarbon analysis. These samples were collected for a study of
Holocene terrace chronology along the South Fork and North Fork of the Boise River. Botanic
components and detrital charcoal were identified, and potentially radiocarbon datable material
was separated. A total of ten AMS radiocarbon dates were obtained.
