The aim of this study was to conduct a transmission experiment of Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis between wild amphibians from Michigan USA and Hymenochirus boettgeri, followed by the isolation of the Bd fungus. The study also aimed to evaluate changes in the skin microbiome of H. boettgeri in response to Bd infection.
