The data contains hosts and severity scores of 297 major North American tree pests and pathogens collected from literature. Host range was indexed by taxonomic richness (number of host genera), mean pairwise distance, and standard effect size of the mean pairwise distance. Full details and results of analyses can be found in: Wang, S. S., Gougherty, A. V., and Davies, T. J. (in press). Non-native tree pests have a broader host range than native pests and differentially impact host lineages. Journal of Ecology.
