资源简介:
The dataset consists of files generated within numerical analyses concerning the stability of thin-walled channel-section structures with modified cross-sections, including the influence of geometric imperfections. The data include both input and output files for finite element analyses and allow for comparison between ideal models and real geometries. The dataset contains the following file formats:.docx – documentation of the applied methods and description of the data (“manuscript_Jas_Paw_AP_14112025”),.igs – geometry files of real thin-walled elements obtained through 3D scanning (e.g. B_01.igs, B0.igs, B3_1.igs, B5.igs, B13.igs, B15.igs),.png – visualizations of numerical analysis results, presenting deformation and buckling modes for ideal models (“model”) and scanned geometries (“scan”).Tools and methodology - the data were generated using ANSYS (commercial, closed-source software) for finite element analyses and result visualization, 3D CAD software for preparation of ideal models, and a 3D scanner for acquisition of real geometries. The workflow included scanning of elements, saving geometry in IGS format, preparation of ideal models, execution of numerical analyses, and generation of graphical output files. The .igs files constitute the input geometry for the numerical analyses, while the .png files present the corresponding results. File naming conventions (e.g. b0, b3, b5) identify specific geometric variants, and the terms “model”, “scan”, and “buckling” refer to the ideal model, real geometry, and stability analysis, respectively. The geometry files provided in the .igs format can be opened and used with both commercial and open-source software supporting this standard. Examples of open-source tools capable of handling IGES files include FreeCAD and Open Cascade–based applications. This enables access to and reuse of the geometry data without the need for proprietary software.
