Differences in Gut Microbiome Antibiotics Resistance Gene Between Healthcare Workers and the Healthy Population

Antibiotic resistance is a global public health threat, impacting human, animal, and environmental health. Healthcare settings, with their high antibiotic usage, are significant sources of antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs). Therefore, we plan to use deep metagenomic sequencing to assess the abundance of ARGs in healthcare workers, particularly those in ICUs, and compare it with healthy controls.
