资源简介:
This dataset presents the results from three field campaigns conducted on San Andrés Island between August 2023 and March 2024. During these campaigns, specialized equipment was utilized to gather information on surface variation using pressure sensors and an Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP), which also measures marine currents. Additionally, a meteorological station recorded solar radiation, precipitation, winds, temperature, and humidity; and HOBOs recorded sea temperatures. The 600 kHz AWAC device was positioned in open water at a depth of 17.4 meters, the 1000 kHz AWAC equipment was installed at a depth of 11.6 meters; both during low tide. The meteorological station was installed at a height of 35 meters; the pressure sensors (AQUAloggers) were installed at various depths, all less than 11 meters, in the northeast of the island. Additionally, HOBOs were installed near the 600 kHz AWAC at three different depths: near the bottom, mid-water column, and near the surface. The collected dataset constitutes a valuable resource for understanding the environmental conditions of San Andrés, encompassing both climatic and oceanographic aspects. These records hold significant potential for reuse in future research and projects related to the sustainable management of the island's natural resources. This is critically important due to the environmental challenges faced by San Andrés, including water scarcity, aquifer overexploitation, and the impacts of climate change, such as increased flooding risks exacerbated by population growth and tourism. The availability of this information will support informed decision-making and the development of strategies for the conservation and sustainability of the region's ecosystems.
