A single-blind, randomized controlled study of the effect of pressure and non-pressure dressings on postoperative complications in patients with mixed hemorrhoids

To compare the clinical effects of non-pressure and pressure dressings on the postoperative complications of modified Milligan–Morgan hemorrhoidectomy.
A total of 186 participants were randomly assigned to the non-pressure dressings group and the pressure dressings group. The incidence of acute urinary retention and medical adhesive-related skin injury, pain, hemostatic effect, anal distension, anal edema, use of analgesics, length of hospital stay and hospitalization costs were compared between the two groups.
