We investigated bacterial communities in Polish arable soils with different crop types and fallow land (control soils) to reveal unique features that may be indicators of microbial diversity, as well as factors that affect it. Thirty one soil samples, represented by 7 soil types, were investigated. The composition of the bacterial communities was analyzed via 16S rRNA amplicons sequencing using Ion Torrent⢠technology.
