A complete reference genome for the model organism Sphenodon punctatus (Tuatara) from a single animal. The Tuatara genome (Sphenodon punctatus) was developed in partnership with Ngatiwai iwi, who are the custodians of these special treasures (taonga) in the far North of New Zealand. These genomic data have been deposited so that others may benefit from access to them prior to our publication.
