资源简介:
Complement clause constructions especially that-clauses are expression of a grammatical stance device in the English language as complement clauses are used to complete the meaning relationship of an associated verb, noun or adjective in a higher clause. While the research on academic writing highlights the importance of evaluative language and rhetorical strategies in constructing persuasive arguments, academic writers use various linguistic features, such as evaluative adjectives, stance adverbials, and self-mentions, to convey their attitudes, beliefs, and stance towards the subject matter. Overall, the present study underscores the inherently social and evaluative nature of academic writing, where the strategic use of linguistic resources plays a crucial role in effective scholarly communication, revealing innovative information about one of the most important evaluative models solely in Academic English for Business (BA hereafter) (Academic English (BA) hereafter), Medicine (and other many disciplines in between), by LancsBox 6.0 software and Microsoft 365 Copilot.
