资源简介:
In recent years, the demand for low carbon energy storage in the transport and grid sectors has driven a global research effort in the development and optimisation of battery systems. Na-ion technology, such as Na1-x(Ni0.5Mn0.5)O2 (NNM) are regarded as one of the best near-term candidates for cathodes due to their high practical capacity >150 mAh g-1 and lower cost, in comparison to Li-ion technology.Investigation of the de-/sodiation processes by standard imaging tools, such as X-ray or neutron CT, has no success due to the low attenuation of Na. Diffraction imaging techniques overcomes this problem and supply additional structural information of crystallographic changes. We propose a Bragg Edge CT experiment on ice templated NNM electrodes at different states of charge. The study will provide valuable information about sodiation paths and help to develop this imaging techniques.
