Cadastre map for Aarhus municipality

The whole of Denmark is divided into cadastres, which represent legally binding property boundaries. The 2018 cadastre map comprises a total of 81,437 cadastre units within Aarhus municipality. The cadastre map contains some general land use information, such as whether a cadastre unit is part of the road or rail network and if it is primarily used for agricultural production.

Furthermore, each cadastre unit contains a unique identification string, which can be linked to building specific information from the Danish Building and Dwelling (BBR) register and to ownership information from the Central Business (CVR) register.

Based on this information, for the 2018 cadastre, we compiled information on ownership categories, building specific information (e.g. use, such as residential, business etc.) and whether a cadastre unit is publicly accessible. For some of the information, the cadastre map was overlaid with other spatially explicit datasets.
