To investigate the changes in structure and composition of salivary microbial communities of OLP, 55 samples were sequenced with Illumina MiSeq technology. Subjects with reticular OLP (n = 19) and erosive OLP (n = 18) aged between 22-62 years were selected during follow-up clinical examinations from the West China Hospital of Stomatology, Sichuan University. Additionally, 18 healthy volunteers who met the requirements of having matched gender and age with the OLP patients were recruited as controls.
