Lake Łazduny (NE Poland) limnological (2007–2010) and surface sediment geochemical data

We present a dataset of water property monitoring in Lake Łazduny (NE Poland; 0.11 km2; 53°51'18" N, 21°57'07" E; 129 m a.s.l.) from 2007 to 2010, and surface sediment properties. Limnological observations were carried out at approximately monthly intervals at the deepest point of the lake, at 1-m depth intervals. Sedimentological and geochemical data were obtained from the topmost 1 cm of 31 short sediment cores across different lake zones, covering elemental composition (CNS), biogenic silica (BSi), µXRF scanning, and sequential Fe and Mn extraction, as well as coring depth, distance from the shoreline, and sediment lithology.
