This series comprises correspondence files maintained by the State Motor Car Insurance Office and subsequently by the State Insurance Office. The files contain inward and copies of outward correspondence relating to the functions undertaken by the these offices.The records in the P1 consignment were an estray transferred to the Public Record Office Victoria by the State Library Victoria in 2002. It included an unregistered file named 'Sundries'.
